The Founder
Moving from Afghanistan to Australia in 2015, Sita Nabizada instantly saw a gap in the community for Afghan cultural foods. With a love of baking and entrepreneurship, Sita Nabizada founded Afghan Traditional Sweets in late 2017 with just a small marquee, a table and some treats. Fast forward almost 6 years, Afghan Traditional Sweets has been the talk of the town in the Queensland community, thanks to our amazing supportive customers. We create traditional Afghan sweets packed with unique and rich flavors guaranteed to make your taste buds happy! Through introducing our culture to the community we wanted to make it our mission to spread and educate the future generation on Afghanistan's rich culture and heritage. Since our humble beginnings, Afghan Traditional Sweets has blossomed into a beloved institution, known not just for our delicious treats, but also for our commitment to preserving Afghan heritage.
